Mountain Country Foods offers a versatile and scalable co-packing operation designed to support a wide range of retail and club store packaging needs. Our facility features multiple high-speed form-fill-seal and rotary pouch handling lines, each paired with precision multi-head weighing systems to ensure consistent and accurate fills. Downstream, MCF utilizes automated check weighing, case sealing, and coding systems to maintain quality and efficiency. MCF has extensive experience with club store trays, retail-ready displays, shrink wrapping, specialty packs, coupon insertion, and promotional customization, all supported by a flexible and responsive production environment.
Research and Development
Mountain Country Foods is home to an experienced on-site Research & Development team, equipped with a full pilot plant to support custom product formulation, shelf stability testing, and new product development. Our packaging and design specialists work hand-in-hand with you to bring your innovative pet treats to life.
Quality Assurance
Mountain Country Foods has an experienced quality assurance staff with an in-house chemical laboratory. MCF is SQF certified with an “Excellent” rating. Our food safety programs are HACCP based. MCF is APHIS – PFO certified-plant number UT-PFO-001.

Founded in 1974 by Doug Ford, Mountain Country Foods (MCF) has been a proud family-owned and operated company for over 50 years. Doug and his wife Carol launched their journey as newlyweds, starting a small jerky manufacturing business for human consumption. As their family and business grew, they shifted their focus to pet treats—a move that would shape the future of the company.
Today, Mountain Country Foods is one of the largest pet treat manufacturers in the United States. With multiple facilities and a strong reputation for excellence, MCF has become a trusted leader in the industry.
